For my Genius Hour I would like to research one food dish and find out about it and the history. I will also write a paper explaining the history and how to prepare the dish. In addition of writing a paper, I will also make a video on how to make the dish and tips on how to cook the dish. A dish I am considering to learn about is lasagna and if I have enough time I will try to bring in some for class. If I need help I will ask help from my sister who is very good at cooking. Every week I can research the dish. I can also research on how to make it. Hopefully I can also make a power point on the dish

This week during genius hour I brainstormed what else I could make on scratch. I helped jack test out his item for a few minutes, before getting back to work. I looked at some of the recommended projects to do on scratch, but none of them looked appealing to me. I decided to add more questions to my rubik's cube quiz. I put in a question about fish spamming. I am praying that Cole recovers from his disease soon. I also added questions about the origin of the rubik's cube and different solving methods. I can't wait to share my projects on thursday or friday.
Maybe you could combine the PowerPoint, the research paper, and the video into one item of presentation of epic proportions. I say this because all of those presentation methods seem a bit overkill for only 6 hrs of work time in class.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure you need the paper, the video, and the power point, but if you really do feel the need or want to, maybe you could make some of them more humor based, but i still think it's a great idea, and i'm excited to see what you get out of it
